How It Happened
Holy Family opened the game with a 5-3 lead but Post slowly and steadily began building its own lead and held a 10-point advantage by the midway part of the half. The Eagles grabbed a 19-9 lead after a layup by Naasier Williams at the 11:01 mark.

The Tigers knocked into the lead and came within four points after a quick 7-1 run made the score 20-16.  Post though regained momentum and turned a four-point advantage into a 16-point deficit for the Tigers.  The Eagles led 40-24 with just over a minute to play in the opening half and would go on to take a 40-26 lead into the locker rooms at halftime.

In the second half the Tigers cut into the Eagles' lead and brought the deficit into single digits on multiple occasions with the latter coming at the 15:15 mark.  A jumper by redshirt freshman Ryan Corcoran (Royersford, Pa./Spring Ford) made the score 53-45.  Over the next two minutes though, Post rallied with an 11-0 run to put the game out of the reach.  The Eagles held their biggest lead of the game to that point at 64-45 with 13:14 to play. Post's biggest lead came at the 10:12 mark when a layup by Matt Mareno made the score 70-50.

Holy Family once again began putting a dent into the Eagles' lead and came as close as 12 points down the stretch but time was not on the Tigers' side.
