How It Happened
Holy Family opened the game with a 6-0 run thanks to back-to-back three-pointers from freshman Randy Bell (Sicklerville, N.J./Timber Creek).  However, Dominican responded with a 12-0 run to grab a six-point advantage after Charles Sayon scored a fast-break layup at the 12:51 mark.

The Chargers led through the early part of the low-scoring first half until the Tigers regained the lead at the 7:27 mark when junior Dyllon Hudson-Emory (Harrisburg, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) connected on a jumper to make the score 15-14. Both teams exchanged leads a few more times leading into the final minute of the opening half.  With the score tied 26-26, Dominican took control of the lead after Gerrel Irvin made back-to-back free throws with less than :30 seconds remaining in the half.  Holy Family was able to get a shot off to potentially tie the game at the half but the last second shot fell short as time expired.

In the second half, Holy Family eventually re-established the lead and held a four-point advantage after senior Shane Neher (Richboro, Pa./Archbishop Wood) grabbed an offensive board and followed through with a layup basket to make the score 46-42 by the midway point.

After both teams exchanged leads once more the Tigers held a 48-47 lead with just over nine minutes to play before Travis Cook knocked down a three-pointer to give the Chargers the final lead change (50-48).  Dominican maintained the lead the rest of the way despite the Tigers coming within one possession of tying the game late.  Dominican led 57-55 and followed with an 11-3 run over a three-minute span to grab its biggest lead of the game, 68-58, with 1:09 to play.
