Newark, Del. - The Holy Family University men's soccer team dropped a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest at Wilmington University by the score of 5-0 on Tuesday afternoon at the WU Athletics Complex.

How It Happened
Wilmington scored four second half goals to put the game in the books.  Before the offensive surge in the second half, the Wildcats came away with a late goal to end the first half and take a 1-0 lead at the half.  In the 38th minute, Geoff Velasquez came through with his first goal of the season to open the scoring.

It was the first blemish on senior Dylan Rutledge (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic) as he made three saves in the first half after facing nine shots the first 45 minutes.  Rutledge ended up finishing the game with seven saves for the Tigers.
 
In the second half, Wilmington fired off nine more shots with eight on target resulting in four goals.  Deron Joe scored in the 56th minute, while Lorne Bickley tallied back-to-back goals in the 74th minute just :48 seconds part for his sixth and seventh goals of the season. Sam Jester capped the scoring with a goal in the 84th minute.
 
Next Up
Holy Family returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 1 as the Tigers host Bloomfield College in a CACC contest. Game time is slated for 2:30 p.m. at Tiger Field.
