How it Happened
Holy Family opened the scoring early on in the first half when junior Jovan James (Elgin Town, Jamaica) tallied his first goal as a member of the Tigers.  He received a pass from freshman Charles Afful (Philadelphia, Pa./Northeast) that led to the score in the 11th minute.  Bloomfield countered with a goal of its own in the 19th minute.  Nathaniel Valencia scored off a pass from Hugues Douyon to tie the game at 1-1.

The game remained tied up until James came through with another score for the Tigers.  This time James collected a rebounded ball and found the back of the net to give Holy Family a 2-1 lead with his second goal of the game.

Holy Family carried the lead into halftime and deep into the second half.  However, in the 86th minute Bloomfield was credited with a goal when a Holy Family defender slipped the ball into the Tigers' own net that ended up tying the game at 2-2.

In the first overtime period, Bloomfield nearly ended the game in the 98th minute.  The Bears were awarded a penalty kick after a Holy Family foul.  The attempt by Rafique Roberts hit off the lower post as the game remained tied after the first overtime period.

Senior goalkeeper Dylan Rutledge (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic) made a save early on in the second overtime period to preserve the tie. He finished the game with six saves.
