How It Happened
Early scores by Molloy senior Danielle Valente set the tone for the Lions as they grabbed a 2-0 advantage by the 16th minute.  Valente's first goal of the game came in the ninth minute of action.  She followed that up with another score in the 16th minute to give the Lions a 2-0 lead.  The goal marked her third of the season.

Holy Family would crack the scoreboard in the 26th minute when sophomore Brianna Rock (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) tallied her second goal in as many games to cut the lead in half at 2-1.  Sophomore Alyssa Christiansen (Warminster, Pa./William Tennent) was credited with the assist after sending a pass towards Rock's direction.

The score remained 2-1 until the final minutes of the half when the Lions tacked on another score.  This time it was junior Kristen Cummings finding the back of the net for her second goal of the season.  Cummings goal in the 41st minute gave Molloy a 3-1 lead heading into halftime.

Both teams were held without a goal in a shortened second half.  The game was delayed with 15:03 remaining in regulation due to lightning.  The players never returned to the field, as the game was later called due to the lightning in the area.  Since the game surpassed the 70th minute it counts as an official game.

Inside the Box Score
