Game 1: Holy Family 6, Concordia 0
The Holy Family offense gave starting pitcher Bailey Walters (Ridgecrest, Calif./Burroughs) plenty of run support as the Tigers opened the game with a three-run first inning.  Freshman Samantha Klem (San Diego, Calif./Clairemont) drove in the first two runs with a double and then two batters later senior Kristine Casey (Newark, Del./Caravel) came through with a run scoring double of her own to give the Tigers a 3-0 lead.

Walters (13-7) held the Clippers to just four hits in a complete-game performance.  She struck out four batters as she recorded her fifth shutout of the season.

Holy Family added a pair of runs in the sixth inning when sophomore Koreen Orozco (Whittier, Calif./St. Paul) blasted her first home run of the season.  In the seventh, Klem drove in the team's final run as the Tigers extended their lead to 6-0.

Klem finished the game 2-for-4 with three RBI, while Favinger went 2-for-4 with two runs scored. Casey (2-4) and sophomore Jennifer Trapp (Castle Rock, Colo./Douglas County) (2-3) each had multiple hits as well.

Game 2: Holy Family 5, Concordia 4
Holy family rallied from three runs down to complete the sweep over the Clippers.  In the bottom of the third, Concordia scored four runs highlighted by a three-run home run by sophomore Sarah Ross.  The Clippers took a 4-1 lead into the fourth when the Tigers cut into the deficit.

Holy Family tacked on two runs in the inning after taking advantage of three errors by the Clippers.  Sophomore Alyssa Cudeyro (Sicklerville, N.J./Washington Twp.) scored the first run of the inning, while senior Alexis Maggi (Stratford, N.J./Sterling) scored the final run on a sacrifice fly by Walters.

The very next inning, Holy Family tied the game and took the lead for the first time since the first inning with another pair of runs.  Maggi delivered a run scoring double to tie the game and then scored on a base hit by Casey to give the Tigers a 5-4 advantage.

In the final frame Concordia had the potential tying run at third base when senior Brittany Lampert led the inning off with a double and later advanced to third.  With two outs already in the inning, sophomore Amanda Paredes (Moorpark, Calif./Thousand Oaks) forced Carly Mertens to pop out to close out the game.

Paredes (2-0) picked up the win after entering in relief of starting pitcher Koreen Orozco (Whittier, Calif./St. Paul).  Paredes went 4.2 innings and held the Clippers to three hits while striking out two batters.  Orozco went the first 2.1 innings and allowed four runs (three earned) off five hits.
