Game 1: Holy Family 9, USciences 6
The Holy Family offense continued its recent surge as the Tigers scored four runs in the bottom half of the first inning to open the scoring.  Senior Alexis Maggi (Stratford, N.J./Sterling) highlighted the inning with the two-run triple sandwiched between run scoring singles by freshman Samantha Klem (San Diego, Calif./Clairemont) and senior Kristine Casey (Newark, Del./Caravel).

USciences responded with two runs in the second inning before the Tigers tacked on another four runs in the third.  After Casey led the inning off with a double, sophomore Koreen Orozco (Whittier, Calif./St. Paul) drove her in with a double.  Three batters later, junior Brianna Scotto (West Babylon, N.Y./West Babylon) drilled a triple scoring both Orozco and junior Bailey Walters (Ridgecrest, Calif./Burroughs) who reached base after getting hit by a pitch.  Sophomore Jenna Vasquez (Newark, Del./Caravel Academy) capped the scoring with a bunt single as Scotto scored on the play to make the score 8-2.

Once again the Devils responded with a pair of runs in the fourth to cut the lead in half at 8-4.

Holy Family added a run in the sixth when Maggi hit a sacrifice fly to score Favinger who led the inning off with a triple. The Devils scored twice in the seventh after an error by the Tigers led to a pair of runs.

Scotto led the Tigers with a perfect game at the plate going 4-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.  Casey also had multiple hits with a 3-for-4 performance at the plate while scoring a run and driving in another.  Maggie totaled three RBI for the Tigers.

Sophomores Emily Harris and Evangelina Olivera each led the Devils with three hits and a pair of runs in four plate appearances.

Game 2: Holy Family 1, USciences 0
A sacrifice fly in the bottom of the second inning was the only run of the game and the Tigers took advantage.  Maggi led the inning off with a triple to right-center field before Nolan hit a sac fly to center field to drive her in.

Walters (9-7) picked up her ninth win of the season as she held the Devils to just four hits in seven innings of work.  It marked her second shutout in as many starts.

Sophomore Kaitlyn Gaynor (3-7) received the hard-luck loss as she went six innings allowing one run on four hits.
