Philadelphia, Pa. - The Holy Family University women's lacrosse team dropped a non-conference contest to nationally ranked No. 9 West Chester University by the score of 19-9 on Tuesday afternoon at Tiger Field.

How We Got Here
Senior Nicole Braungart (Medford, N.J./Bishop Eustace) scored the first two goals of the game to give Holy Family an early 2-0 lead by the 26:18 mark. West Chester followed with back-to-back goals in a :26 second span to tie the game. Holy Family responded two minutes later with an unassisted goal from senior Erin Harmer (Philadelphia, Pa./Nazareth Academy) to recapture the lead at 3-2.
However, West Chester rallied for four straight goals over the next six minutes to lead 6-3 by the midway points of the half. Senior Paige Settar (Mullica Hill, N.J./Clearview Regional) halted the West Chester surge with a goal at the 8:56 mark to cut the lead down to two scores.
The Golden Rams once again rallied for three straight goals all by senior Erin Eckert before Braunagart tallied her third goal of the game for the Tigers to make the score 9-5.
From there, West Chester followed with 10 straight goals that began at the 4:34 of the first half and ended at the 17:36 mark of the second half. Holy Family ended its drought when freshman Vanessa Pagliei (Linwood, N.J./Mainland Regional) found the back of the net with 13:22 on the clock. The Tigers scored the final four goals of the game.
