Rockville Centre, N.Y. - The Holy Family University women's lacrosse team fell short in a non-conference contest at Molloy College by the score of 16-14 on Sunday afternoon at John A. Darcy Field.

How We Got Here
Holy Family nearly overcame an eight-goal deficit with a late second half rally.  The Tigers trailed 15-8 with less than 10 minutes to play in regulation.  Senior Paige Settar (Mullica Hill, N.J./Clearview Regional) and freshman Vanessa Pagliei (Linwood, N.J./Mainland Regional) each scored two straight goals over a seven-minute span to cut the lead down to 15-11.
 
The Holy Family defense held Molloy scoreless for nearly 10 minutes before Angela Bollettieri found the back of the net to interrupt the Tigers run with 3:30 to play. Bollettieri's lone goal of the game increased the lead to 16-11.
 
Holy Family scored the next three goals to come within two of the Lions' lead but time was against the Tigers as the team's final goal by freshman Dana Trevito (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern Regional) came with 10 seconds remaining on the clock. 
 
Inside the Box Score
Holy Family: Settar finished with a game-high four goals to go along with one assist to finish with five points… Senior Erin Harmer (Philadelphia, Pa./Nazareth Academy) and Pagliei each scored three goals on the afternoon, while sophomore Rose Bachmayer (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) added a pair of goals… Junior Ursula Coyle (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower) had a career-day defensive leading the team with six ground balls and four caused turnovers… She also controlled three draws…Senior Nicole Braungart (Medford, N.J./Bishop Eustace) assists on two goals and led the team on the draw with six draw controls… Senior goalkeeper Grace Deckert (Jarrettsville, Md./Fallston) made 13 saves in net.
 
Molloy: Ten different players scored for the Lions in the victory…Meghan Orlando led the team with a game-high six points on two goals and four assists… Brianna Wilson finished with two goals and two assists to go along with seven draw controls and four caused turnovers…In net for the Lions, Caroline Winters started the first 30 minutes and allowed four goals and made one save… Alyssa Chetti closed out the game and made eight saves while allowing 10 goals.
 
Moving on Up
With her five point performance, Settar moved into fourth place on the all-time scoring list.  She now has 173 career points, passing former standout Jennifer James (2009-11) who recorded 172 points in her three-year career.
 
Straight 100
Senior Nicole Braungart (Medford, N.J./Bishop Eustace) tallied career points 99 and 100 versus the Lions after dishing out a pair of assists.  She is the seventh player in program history to record 100 career points. 
 
All-Time Series
Today was the sixth meeting all-time between Holy Family and Molloy.  The Lions picked up their sixth straight victory against the Tigers to improve to 6-0.
 
Next Up
Holy Family returns home on Saturday, March 19 to host Queens College in a non-conference contest.  Game time is slated for 12 p.m. at Tiger Field.
