How We Got Here
Holy Family grabbed the momentum midway through the second half and took advantage of USciences' foul troubles to come-from-behind and defeat the Devils.  The Tigers trailed by as many as six points early in the second half and eventually grabbed the lead briefly when senior Turhan Griffin (Philadelphia, Pa./Franklin Learning Center) knocked down a three-pointer to make the score 37-36.

He finished with 12 points on 4-of-5 shooting, including 3-of-4 from deep range.  Griffin would strike again later in the half after the Devils grabbed a one point lead (44-43) on a jumper by senior Wes Kerr. Griffin recorded a steal on defense and finished with a fast-break basket to give the lead right back to the Tigers.

On the following possession, senior Hunter Wysocki (Howell, N.J./Colts Neck) forced a turnover that led to a three-pointer by Griffin to extend the Tigers' lead to 48-44.  The Devils turned the ball over again on their next possession and this time it was redshirt senior Reggie Charles (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) with the steal.  He finished on the other end with a fast-break dunk to extend the lead to six points.

From there, Holy Family maintained the lead the rest of the way despite USciences coming within one point of the lead at the 4:44 mark.  Junior Jon McGill dropped in a three-pointer to cut the score down to 54-53.  However, Holy Family followed with five unanswered points to make it a two-possession game.

The mini run ultimately turned into a 16-4 surge as the Tigers took their biggest lead of the game into the final minute.  Senior Derrick Stewart (Philadelphia, Pa./Neumann-Goretti) threw down a monster dunk to swell the lead to 13 points at 70-57 with :44 seconds remaining on the clock.

USciences scored the final five points of the game to bring the final deficit into single digits.
