Game 1: Bloomsburg 6, Holy Family 2
Bloomsburg used the long ball to jump out on the Tigers early on in the opener.  Sophomore Emily Mayhew gave the Huskies a 1-0 lead with a first inning home run, while senior Erica Keen connected on a two-run shot in the second inning.

Bloomsburg tacked on one more run in the second inning after Keen's home run to lead 4-0.

Holy Family finally broke through in the fourth inning when sophomore Koreen Orozco (Whittier, Calif./St. Paul) singled to left center scoring both sophomore Jennifer Trapp (Castle Rock, Colo./Douglas County) and senior Alicia Alvarado (Palmdale, Calif./Paraclete) to cut the Huskies' lead in half at 4-2.

However, Bloomsburg got one of the runs back in its half of the fourth taking advantage of a Holy Family error.  The Huskies scored their final run in the fifth inning when junior Mallory Tomaschik hit a solo home run over the center field fence.

Tomaschik (7-0) not only produced at the plate, she also did enough in the pitching circle to pick up her seventh win of the season. She held Holy Family to just two runs in a complete-game effort.  Tomaschik scattered five hits while striking out five batters on the afternoon.

Game 2: Bloomsburg 7, Holy Family 2
A four-run sixth inning turned out to be the turning point in game two.  Bloomsburg erupted for four runs on six hits and took advantage of two Holy Family errors in the inning to take a 7-2 lead in the game. The Huskies recorded four run-scoring hits in the inning.

Before the breakout inning, Bloomsburg opened the game with three runs in the first inning.  Junior Taylor Parker capped the inning with a two-run home run as the Huskies led 3-0 after the first frame.

Holy Family picked up a run in the second inning thanks to a run scoring triple by sophomore Taylor Favinger (Deptford, N.J./Gloucester County Inst. of Tech.).  Sophomore Alyssa Cudeyro (Sicklerville, N.J./Washington Twp.) scored on the play after reaching base on a passed ball strikeout. Favinger finished the game 2-for-4 at the plate.

The Tigers picked up another run in the fifth inning when freshman Samantha Klem (San Diego, Calif./Clairemont) scored on a passed ball to cut the lead down to 3-2.

Junior Sarah Bortner (10-3) went the distance for the Huskies on her way to her 10th victory of the season.  She struck out 10 batters while allowing two unearned runs on six hits.
