How We Got Here
Queens jumped out to a 4-1 lead midway through the first half before the Tigers came within one point of the lead late in the half.  Freshman Dana Trevito (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern Regional) came through with a score at the 7:50 mark while fellow freshman Vanessa Pagliei (Linwood, N.J./Mainland Regional) tallied a score with 5:42 remaining in the half to make the score, 4-3.

The Knights followed with four unanswered goals to close out the half turning a one-goal game into an 8-3 halftime advantage.  Freshmen Patriece Ausili and Margaret Iavarone each accounted for six points in that span.  After an unassisted goal by senior Carly Chierico jumpstarted the rally, Ausili added a goal of her own with an assist from Iavarone.  In return, Ausili was credited with an assist on Iavarone's final two goals of the half as the Knights carried a five-goal lead into the half.

In the second half, the Knights scored the first four goals of the half extending their scoring run to eight consecutive scores.  Ausili capped the run with her fourth and final goal of the game at the 7:25 mark of the half to give the Knights a 12-3 lead.  Ausili led the game with eights on four goals and four assists.

The Queens defense held Holy Family scoreless for nearly 29 minutes.  The Tigers finally scored again at the 6:17 mark when freshman Devon Felix (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Lower Moreland) found sophomore Rose Bachmayer (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) with a pass for her first goal of the game.  Senior Nicole Braungart (Medford, N.J./Bishop Eustace) (5:42) and Pagliei (00:35) also scored for the Tigers in the second half.
