Game 1: Holy Family 7, Nyack 1
In the opener Holy Family erupted for four runs in the first inning and took advantage of a big Nyack error.  Sophomore Taylor Favinger (Deptford, N.J./Gloucester County Inst. of Tech.) set the tone with a one-out double to leftfield and later scored on a single by freshman Samantha Klem (San Diego, Calif./Clairemont). Two batters later, sophomore Jennifer Trapp (Castle Rock, Colo./Douglas County) drove in Klem with a single to right field. She would then steal second setting up the Tigers with two runners in scoring position.  Sophomore Bailey Walters (Ridgecrest, Calif./Burroughs) reached on an error by the Nyack right fielder leading to two more runs as the Tigers led 4-0.

The four-run lead was enough for Walters as she cruised in the pitching circle.  Walters held the Warriors hitless through the first 5.2 innings before Nyack recorded three straight singles in the bottom of the sixth leading to its only run.

Walters picked up her third win of the season after allowing just one run on three hits all coming in the sixth inning.  She struck out two and walked two batters in the game.

Senior Kristine Casey (Newark, Del./Caravel) drove in a run in the fifth inning for the Tigers as she finished the game 3-for-4. Favinger also went 3-of-4 at the plate as she scored twice in the game.  The Tigers added one more run in the seventh inning off a pinch-hit single by junior Amanda Paredes (Moorpark, Calif./Thousand Oaks)

Game 2: Holy Family 10, Nyack 2
A seven run fourth inning by Holy Family highlighted game two.  The Tigers recorded five hits in the inning, including a bases clearing double by sophomore Koreen Orozco (Whittier, Calif./St. Paul) to cap the scoring.  In fact, Orozco led the inning off with a single as she went 2-of-2 with three RBI in the frame.  Favinger drove in the first run of the inning with a double to right field to score Orozco.

Holy Family trailed 2-1 after the first inning as a result of a two-run homer by Kylie Brase.  The Warriors pitcher went 2-of-3 at the plate with two RBI and one run scored.

Holy Family ended up tying the game in the second inning thanks to a two-out double by Favinger that drove in Walters who led the inning off with a double. The score remained tied until the Tigers seven-run outburst in the fourth inning.

Walters (4-4) picked up her fourth win of the season after entering the game in the bottom of the first inning to relieve Orozco.  Walters went 5.2 innings and allowed one hit while striking out two batters. She also went 2-of-3 at the plate with two runs and one RBI.
