Philadelphia, Pa. - The Holy Family University men's basketball reached a season-high in points as the Tigers defeated Georgian Court University by the score of 104-58 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest on Tuesday night inside the Campus Center Gymnasium.

How We Got Here
Holy Family controlled the game from the opening tip as the Tigers exploded out the gate with a 36-4 run over the first 10 minutes of the half.  Holy Family connected on 13-of-25 from the field during that span and held Georgian Court to just 1-of-17 shooting. 
 
Georgian Court regrouped and went on to finish the half connecting on 10-of-13 to cut the gap to just 20 points by halftime.  Holy Family entered the locker rooms at the half with a 51-31 advantage as both teams combined for 82 points in the first 20 minutes of action.
 
In the second half, Holy Family shot nearly identical to the first half connecting on 43-percent from the field.  The Tigers outscored the Lions, 53-27, to reach the century mark in scoring for the first time this season.

Holy Family: Senior Hunter Wysocki (Howell, N.J./Colts Neck) had a career day as he recorded his first career double-double with a game-high 20 points and 12 rebounds… Wysocki shot 7-of-11 from the field, including 3-of-4 from deep range… Senior James McDonnell (Swansea, Mass./Bridgton Academy) nearly came away with a double-double as he finished with a season-high 12 points (5-6 FG) and tied his career-high with nine rebounds…Senior Derrick Stewart (Philadelphia, Pa./Neumann-Goretti) finished one point shy of a double-double after collecting 11 rebounds and scoring nine points…Redshirt senior Xavier Williams (Philadelphia, Pa./Saul) also totaled 12 points, while senior Marvin Crawford (Edison, N.J./J.P. Stevens) recorded 10 points, six rebounds, four assists, three blocks and two steals… Senior Isaiah Gans (Philadelphia, Pa./Redemption Christian Academy) finished the night with 14 points, while redshirt senior Reggie Charles (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) added 14 points, seven assists, four rebounds and two steals.
 
Georgian Court: Freshman Nikola Vujovic led a trio of Lions that scored in double-figures as he finished with a team-high 17 points (6-9 FG) to go along with seven rebounds… Junior Keith Hughes and sophomore Juwuan Carter each fell short of a double-double after each scoring 12 points and grabbing nine rebounds a piece.
 
Streak Continues
Holy Family extended its home winning streak to 16 games dating back to last season after defeating Georgian Court.  The Tigers are currently a perfect 10-0 at the Campus Center this season.  The team's last home loss was back on Jan. 13, 2015 versus the University of the Sciences.
 
Postseason Picture
Holy Family has already clinched a spot in the CACC Tournament and with the win tonight over the Lions the Tigers are guaranteed a home playoff game in the quarterfinal round.  The Tigers are currently first in the CACC South Division with a 14-1 mark and could claim at least a share of the regular season title with a win on Saturday at Bloomfield College.
 
D2SIDA Media Poll
Holy Family jumped from fourth to first in the Week 12 installment of the D2SIDA East Region Media Poll.  The Tigers currently have the best record in the region and are the first 20-win team among the three conferences. 
 
Next Up
Holy Family returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 13 as the Tigers travel to face Bloomfield College in a CACC contest.  Game time is slated for 3 p.m.
