How It Happened
Chestnut Hill's Liban Awl gave the Griffins an 82-81 lead with :21 seconds remaining in overtime after scoring a driving layup off a screen.  On the ensuing Holy Family possession, Bell drove to the lane and lost control of the ball causing a turnover on the baseline.  The Tigers with a :30 second timeout to talk over a defensive strategy.

Outside the timeout, Chestnut Hill's Ed McWade fired a 'football' style pass from the baseline down court and waiting for it was junior Dyllon Hudson-Emory (Harrisburg, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) who intercepted the pass forcing the turnover past midcourt.  Hudson-Emory found Bell who once again drove to the basket, this time scoring the game-winner, while being fouled with one second left on the clock.

Bell went ahead and missed the upcoming free throw as McWade grabbed the defensive board as time expired allowing Holy Family to secure the one-point victory at 83-82.

Chestnut Hill sent the game into overtime after Awl scored the game-tying basket with :14 seconds left in regulation.  Holy Family had a chance to break the tie but a shot by Bell inside the paint came up short off the rim resulting into overtime.

Both teams held eight point advantages during the course of the game.  Chestnut Hill led by eight with less than seven minutes to play in the first half, while Holy Family held an eight point advantage early in the second half.
