Next Stop: CACC Semifinals vs. No. 2 Caldwell



Philadelphia, Pa. - The sixth-seeded Holy Family University women's soccer team will face second-seeded Caldwell University in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) semifinals on Friday, Nov. 4 at 1:30 p.m. 
 
This year's semifinals and final is hosted by Georgian Court University in Lakewood, N.J.  Tickets for Friday's semifinal game are $6 for adults and $3 for children, senior citizens and students with a valid ID.  Children under the age of three are admitted free of charge.
 
Scouting Holy Family (9-7-2, 7-3-2 CACC)
Holy Family is coming off a quarterfinal victory over third-seeded Goldey-Beacom College on Monday.  The Tigers and Lightning exchanged goals throughout until sophomore Brianna Rock (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) chipped in a goal in the 83rd minute to finally put Holy Family in front for good. It marked Rock's conference leading 13th goal of the season as well as her sixth game-winning score.  Redshirt sophomore Stefanie Ulmer (Philadelphia, Pa./Delaware Valley HS Center City) and junior Shannon Metzler (Erial, N.J./St. Josephs (Hammonton)) each score for the Tigers.  Senior goalkeeper Kacie Booth (Maple Shade, N.J./Maple Shade) made a pair of saves in net to preserve the victory.  Booth is 3-1-0 in her recent four starts and has posted a 1.75 goals against average.
 
Scouting Caldwell (11-7-1, 9-3-0 CACC)
The Cougars won their quarterfinal game versus No. 7 Nyack College, 3-1, thanks to a pair of goals from Jessica LaConde.  Gianna Klucker also scored for the Cougars and assisted on one of LaConde's scores. Carlyn Salus and Emily Valerian each lead the Cougars in scoring this season with 20 points. Both players have scored nine goals and two assists.  
 
All-Time Series
Holy Family and Caldwell have met 22 times dating back to 1999.  The Tigers won the regular season meeting versus the Cougars a few weeks back at Tiger Field.  Rock ended up scoring the game-winning goal in the final minute to lift the Tigers to the 2-1 victory.  The win pushed the Tigers to a 17-5-0 all-time record versus the Cougars.
 
Postseason History
Holy Family has qualified for the CACC Tournament 18 straight seasons since joining the conference in 1999.  During that span the Tigers are 27-7-2 and have won eighth conference championships.  Holy Family is appearing in the semifinals for the first time since 2013.  The Tigers and Cougars have faced off five times in the postseason.  The Tigers are 3-2-0 in those games with Caldwell winning the past two meetings, including the 2013 Championship game.
