Lakewood, N.J. - The Holy Family University men's basketball team recorded its second straight victory after picking up an 86-58 victory at Georgian Court University in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest on Tuesday night at the GCU Wellness Center.

How It Happened
Holy Family used a 17-3 run midway through the first half to take full control of the game.  The Tigers led 15-14 at the 10:51 mark and six minutes later held a 32-17 advantage.  Freshman Maliq Sanders (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern Regional) capped the run with a layup to give the Tigers the 15-point lead.
 
The Holy Family offense continued its offensive surge and outscored Georgian Court, 16-3, the final five minutes of the half to take a 48-22 halftime lead.  Freshman Dyllon Hudson-Emory (Harrisburg, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) drained a three-pointer as time expired as he finished the first half with 22 of his game-high 25 points.  Hudson-Emory was a near perfect 8-of-9 from the field in the first 20 minutes, including 4-of-4 from deep range and 2-of-2 from the free throw line.
 
In the second half, the Holy Family lead eclipsed 30 points as the Tigers led by as many as 36 points.  A pair of free throws with 2:02 to play by freshman Jamai Womack (Chichester, Pa./Chichester) made the score 84-48.

Holy Family: Hudson-Emory led all scorers with 25 points to go along with four rebounds and three assists… Freshman Randy Bell (Sicklerville, N.J./Timber Creek) also scored in double-figures and filled the box sheet with 17 points, seven rebounds, six assists and two steals… Sanders finished with 16 points and eight rebounds while blocking a pair of shots on defense…Freshmen Austin Chabot (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) and John Rigsby (Malvern, Pa./Archbishop Carroll) each totaled seven points off the bench for the Tigers.
 
Georgian Court: Caleb Bowser, Tony Ellington and Keith Hughes each scored eight points… Hughes also led the team with eight rebounds, while Bowser grabbed eight boards.
 
All-Time Series
Tonight's game marked the seventh meeting all-time between Holy Family and Georgian Court dating back to the 2013-14 season.  The Tigers are now a perfect 7-0 versus the Lions.
 
Next Up
Holy Family returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 26 as the Tigers host American International College in a non-conference contest.  Game time is slated for 2 p.m. inside the Campus Center Gymnasium.
