How It Happened
After surrendering a double-digit lead late in the first half, Holy Family wasn't about to let that happen again in the second half.  In fact, the Tigers erased Queens' nine-point lead that the Knights compiled early in the second half.  A three-pointer by Diego Maldonado gave the Knights their biggest lead of the game at 52-43 at the 16:07 mark.

Holy Family began chipping away at the lead and eventually gained control after a layup basket by Maliq Sanders (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern Regional) made the score 56-55 in favor of the home team. As the half progressed the Tigers relinquished the lead back over to the Knights after a pair of free throws from Simon Green gave Queens a 64-62 advantage.

On back-to-back possessions, junior Dyllon Hudson-Emory (Harrisburg, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) tied the game with a tip-in basket and then gave the Tigers the lead at 66-64 with a fast-break score with 7:18 to play. That jump started a 10-2 run by the Tigers of the next four minutes as Holy Family grabbed a double-digit lead after freshman Randy Bell (Sicklerville, N.J./Timber Creek) scored a layup basket to make the score 76-66 with 3:34 showing on the clock.

Holy Family increased its lead to as many as 13 points in the final 70 seconds after a dunk by Hudson-Emory made the score 86-73.

Holy Family led by as many as 10 points in the first half (32-22) at the 7:12 mark before Queens went on a 17-4 run the rest of the way to take a 39-36 lead at half time.
