Christina Bonomo & Kimber Kisselback Honored by CACC

New Haven, Conn. - Holy Family University senior attack Christina Bonomo (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Lacrosse Co-Player of the Week for the week ending April 12 as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.  Bonomo is earning Player of the Week honors for the first time in her career.  She shares this week's honors with Wilmington University's senior Rebekah McCurry.

In addition, senior defender Kimber Kisselback (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) was recognized as well as she was listed among those named to the conference's Weekly Honor Roll.

In a 3-0 week for the Tigers, Bonomo led the offense with 18 total points after scoring 13 goals and dishing out five assists.  She also collected six ground balls and caused one turnover.

Holy Family began the week with a 19-8 victory versus Mercy College in a non-conference contest last Monday.  The Tigers followed that up with a 14-3 triumph at Post University on Wednesday before closing out the week with a 17-8 win versus Chestnut Hill College on Saturday.

Holy Family is now 10-3 overall and 6-0 in conference play as the Tigers are currently riding a season-long eight-game winning streak.

Bonomo highlighted the week with a nine-point performance versus Chestnut Hill.  She scored a career-high six goals to go along with three assists.  Her nine points tied the program's single game record for most points in a game. Bonomo scored three goals and had two assists for five points versus Mercy and totaled four goals at Post.

This season Bonomo has totaled career-highs in goals (24), assists (9), points (33), ground balls (13) and caused turnovers (3).

This past week, Kisselback was a big part of the Tigers' defense that held opponents to just 6.33 goals per game and allowed only 16.3 shots per game.  She totaled ten ground balls, caused four turnovers, controlled three draws and tallied an assist on offense.

Kisselback caused a pair of turnovers in each of the team's victories over conference opponents last week.  With her two caused turnovers on Saturday versus the Griffins, Kisselback tied the program's all-time mark for career caused turnovers at 48.  Her next caused turnover will set the new standard.

This season Kisselback has totaled 16 caused turnovers, which ranks seventh in the CACC.  She has also recorded 29 ground balls, three goals and one assist.

Holy Family (10-3, 6-0 CACC) is back in action on Tuesday, April 14 as the Tigers host cross-town rival Philadelphia University in a key CACC contest.  Game time is slated for 4 p.m. at Tiger Field. Prior to the game, the Tigers will recognize their five seniors as part of 'Senior Day' festivities.
