New Haven, Conn. - Holy Family University sophomore Samantha O'Donnell (Levittown, Pa./Neshaminy) was listed as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Track Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 22 as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
In the first event of the 2015 outdoor season, O'Donnell broke the school record in the 1,500-meter run as the Tigers competed in the third annual Philadelphia College Classic at historic Franklin Field hosted by the University of Pennsylvania.
O'Donnell finished 21st overall in the 1,500-meter event with a time of 5:19.45.
This marks the third school record O'Donnell has set this year. During the indoor season, she set new standards in the 1-mile run and 3,000-meter run.
Holy Family is back in action on Wednesday, April 1 as the Tigers take part in the Oscar Moore Open hosted by Rowan University.
