Millersville, Pa. - The Holy Family University women's volleyball team split a pair of non-conference matches on day one of the Marauder Clash hosted by Millersville University at Pucillo Gymnasium on Friday.
Holy Family began the day with a 3-0 victory over Virginia Union University in the first ever meeting between the two schools. The Tigers won by the scores of 25-21, 25-22 and 25-17. The victory marked the first career win for first-year head coach
Jeff Rotondo.
Later in the evening, the Tigers fell to Stonehill College in three sets by the score of 20-25, 18-25, 21-25.
Holy Family is back in action on Saturday, Sept. 6 as the Tigers compete on day two of the Marauder Clash. The Tigers will face host Millersville University at 11 a.m. and conclude the tournament with a match up against Shippensburg University at 5 p.m.
