McCollick Scores in Tigers 1-1 Draw With Philadelphia

Philadelphia, Pa. -
The Holy Family University men's soccer team finished in a 1-1 draw against cross-town rival Philadelphia University in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest Thursday night at the RAMP Playground in Northeast Philadelphia.

Holy Family is now 1-1-3 overall and 0-1-2 in the CACC, while Philadelphia is now 2-3-1 overall and 1-2-1 in CACC action.

After nearly 77 minutes of scoreless action, Holy Family scored the games first goal when junior Kevin McCollick (Washington Twp., N.J./Washington Twp.) connected on his first goal of the season in the 77th minute.  McCollick received a cross pass from sophomore Justin Hiltwine (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) and attempted a shot towards the right side.

The game remained 1-0 until the 84th minute when Philadelphia scored the equalizing goal to tie the game with less than six minutes to play in regulation.  Senior Victor Chagonda converted a shot from 20-yards out that deflected off a Holy Family defender into the back of the net.

Junior goalkeeper Richard Ongaro (Columbus, N.J./Notre Dame/VCU) made seven saves in net for the Tigers after facing 19 total shots by the Rams.  Ongaro faced five shots in the first overtime period, but only one on goal as he made his seventh and final save in the 93rd minute.

Holy Family managed a shot on goal in the 102nd minute by senior Keith Crews (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South), but Philadelphia goalkeeper Thomas Attamante made the stop.  Attamante finished with three saves.
