BENTLEY BOX SCORENewark, Del. - The Holy Family University women's volleyball team concluded the Wildcat Regional Invitational hosted by Wilmington University with two loses by non-conference opponents on Saturday afternoon at the WU Athletic Complex.

Holy Family (2-7) was defeated by Millersville University (5-1) and Bentley University (3-4) by identical 3-0 scores.

Millersville 3, Holy Family 0 (22-25, 23-25, 20-25)Â
Against Millersville, the Tigers dropped the first set by the score of 25-22 to trail the match early. In the second set, Holy Family appeared to be in control, however Millersville rallied from ten points down to take a 2-0 lead in the match.

Holy Family led 20-10 before the Marauders tallied 15 of the set's next 18 points, including the final eight points of the set. Millersville went on the clinch the match with a 25-20 victory in set three.

Senior
Devyn Ingram (King of Prussia, Pa./Upper Merion) and sophomore
Katelyn Scherber (Woodbridge, Va./Forest Park) led the Tigers' attack with eight kills apiece. D. Ingram also collected a team-high 17 digs to go along with two service aces.Â

Redshirt sophomore
Erin Miller (Chandler, Ariz. /Corona del sol) finished with six kills and five block assists, while freshman
Kacie Brien (Turnersville, N.J./Washington Township) recorded 24 set assists.Â

For Millersville, Katie Lesinski led the match with 11 kills to go along with nine digs. Brooklyn Smith led the defense with a match-high 25 digs.

Bentley 3, Holy Family 0 (16-25, 21-25, 23-25)Â
The Tigers faced Bentley in their final match of the tournament. The Falcons opened the match with a 25-16 victory in set one and went on to win the next two sets by the scores of 25-21, 25-23.

D. Ingram once again led the Tigers' attack as she finished with nine kills to go along with 13 digs. Junior
Rachel Johnson (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln Way West) also tallied nine kills as well as finishing with seven digs. Sophomore
Laura Tamas (Rhode-St-Genese, Belgium/) recorded a match-high four service aces and led the team with 14 digs.

Brien recorded 24 set assists and finished with nine digs, while freshman
Cecilia Weir (Warminster, Pa./William Tennant) recorded ten digs.

For Bentley, Jaci Buscher and Lauren Van Buren each recorded seven kills. Lauren Colasanti led the match with 21 digs, while Alex Tator tallied 31 set assists and 12 digs.

Holy Family is back in action on Tuesday, Sept. 16 as the Tigers travel to face the University of the Sciences in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
