Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

McCollick Scores Game-Winner in 90th Minute

Philadelphia, Pa. - Junior Kevin McCollick (Washington Twp., N.J./Washington Twp.) scored the game's lone goal in the 90th minute to give the Holy Family University men's soccer team a 1-0 victory over Molloy College in a non-conference contest on Tuesday night at Ramp Playground.

Holy Family, winners of four straight games, improves to 5-4-3 overall, while Molloy falls to 3-6-1 overall.

With the game tied 0-0 and destined for overtime, the Tigers changed the script in the final minute.  After receiving a pass from junior Aiah Mbriwa (Abington, Pa./Philmont Christian Academy), McCollick launched a shot from the middle of the box finding the back of the net to give Holy Family the game's first lead with :23 seconds remaining in regulation.

It marked McCollick's third goal of the season and his second game-winner.

Holy Family finished the game with a season-high 18 shots, including eight on goal, matching a season-high set this past Saturday at Felician.

Junior goalkeeper Richard Ongaro (Columbus, N.J./Notre Dame/VCU) made three stops in net for the Tigers after facing only eight shots by the Lions.  The shutout marked Ongaro's fifth of the season as he lowered his goals against average to 1.07.

For Molloy, senior Justin Corke made seven saves.

Holy Family is back in action on Saturday, Oct. 11 as the Tigers travel to face Nyack College in a CACC contest.  Game time is slated for 2:30 p.m.
