Tigers Finish in 0-0 Tie With Nyack



Nyack, N.Y. - The Holy Family University men's soccer team finished in a 0-0 draw with Nyack College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest on Saturday afternoon at Moseley Field.
 
Holy Family is now 5-4-4 overall and 2-3-3 in conference play, while is 0-10-2 overall and 0-6-1 in the CACC.
 
Both teams battled to 110 minutes of scoreless soccer as the game ended without a victor.  Holy Family tied its season-high with 19 shots, including three in overtime.  The Tigers launched 11 shots in the second half, including three on goal. 
 
Junior goalkeeper Richard Ongaro (Columbus, N.J./Notre Dame/VCU) made seven saves in net after facing 19 shots by the Warriors.  Ongaro recorded his second straight shutout and six of the season lowering his goals against average for the season to less than 1.00 (0.97).
 
Holy Family is back in action on Tuesday, Oct. 14 as the Tigers travel to face Chestnut Hill College in a CACC contest.  Game time is slated for 7 p.m.
