Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Tigers Shutout by Dominican, 3-0



Philadelphia, Pa. - Junior Ghrelle Francis scored all three goals for Dominican College as the Chargers shutout the Holy Family University men's soccer team by the score of 3-0 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest on Saturday afternoon at Tiger Field.
 
Holy Family is now 5-7-5 overall and 2-6-3 in the CACC, while Dominican improves to 10-3-1 overall and 7-2-1 in conference action.
 
Francis' first goal came in the 25th minute as he connected on a shot inside the box off a pass from senior Christopher Walsh.   The score remained 1-0 in favor of the Chargers through the rest of the half and into the 51st minute of the second half.
 
Francis came through with another score off an assist from sophomore Matheus Sousa to double the lead at 2-0.  Less than a minute later, Francis struck again scoring at the 52:00 minute mark to complete the hat trick with his third goal of the game.
 
Dominican limited the Holy Family offense to only total five shots for the game, with only one on target. 
 
Junior Richard Ongaro (Columbus, N.J./Notre Dame/VCU) made five saves in net after facing 20 shots by the Chargers.  Sophomore Dylan Rutledge (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic) entered the game for Ongaro at the 82:19 mark.
 
Holy Family will close out the regular season as the Tigers host Goldey-Beacom College in a CACC contest on Tuesday, Oct. 28.  Game time is slated for 3:30 p.m. at Tiger Field.
