Tigers Shutout by Bentley, 3-0

Waltham, Mass. - The Holy Family University women's soccer team dropped a non-conference road contest to Bentley University Saturday afternoon in Waltham, Mass.
 
Holy Family is now 0-2-0 on the young season, while Bentley starts its season at 1-0-0.
 
Senior Deirdre Leary scored two-second half goals to lead the Falcons offense.  Leary's first goal broke a 0-0 tie as she scored an unassisted goal in the 54th minute.
 
Bentley doubled its score in the 66th minute after a goal by senior Molly Alfieri to give the Falcons a 2-0 advantage.  Bentley would go on to add another goal in the 81st minute after Leary scored her second goal of the game.
 
Bentley controlled the game offensively as the Falcons outshot Holy Family 21-1 as well as holding a 13-2 advantage on corner kicks.
 
Senior goalkeeper Rachel Dunkle (Blandon, Pa./Fleetwood) finished the game with eight saves for the Tigers, including six in the second half.
 
Holy Family returns to action a week from today on Sept. 8 as the Tigers travel to face Caldwell College in the team's first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest of the season.  Game time is slated for 12 p.m.
