Philadelphia, Pa. - The Holy Family University women's soccer team exploded for four goals on its way to a 4-0 shutout victory over visiting Bloomfield College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest Saturday afternoon at Tiger Field.

With the win Holy Family is now 3-9-0 overall and 3-5-0 in conference play, while Bloomfield is now 2-7-0 overall and 1-6-0 in the CACC.  The win is also the Tigers 16th straight victory and 11th shutout all-time over the Deacons.  Holy Family is 16-0 versus Bloomfield since 1997.

Holy Family scored a pair of goals in each half to pace the scoring.  Senior Melissa Benson (Rockledge, Pa./Little Flower) scored the game's first goal in the 20th minute with senior Megan Tole (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) and freshman Lisa Abramski (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Kellenberg Memorial) assisting on the play.

The Tigers doubled their lead in the 27th minute after Tole received a cross pass from freshman Jenna Richards (Croydon, Pa./Conwell Egan) and found the lower left portion of the goal for her fifth score of the season.

Holy Family added two more goals in the second half with the first coming in the 66th minute.  Freshman Marie Bisirri (Bensalem, Pa./Nazareth Academy) scored her first career goal after heading the ball into the back of the net after senior Kathryn Helkowski (Levittown, Pa./Conwell Egan) launched a cross pass from the far corner.
