Tigers Fall to Caldwell in CACC Quarterfinals, 4-0

Caldwell, N.J. - The Holy Family University women's soccer team fell to Caldwell College in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) quarterfinals by the score of 4-0 Sunday afternoon.
 
Holy Family, seeded sixth in this year's tournament, concludes its season with an 8-11-0 overall record, while third-seeded Caldwell improves to 14-4-0 overall.  The Cougars will now face second-seeded Philadelphia in the CACC semifinals hosted by Post University later this week. 
 
Caldwell's Julie Crankshaw scored the game's first goal and what turned out to be the game-winner in the 20th minute.  Crankshaw scored off a rebounded shot by Jackie Crankshaw to give the Cougars a 1-0 lead.
 
The score remained 1-0 the rest of the first half and into halftime.  Caldwell would go on to double its lead in the 53rd minute when Megan Ferrara headed in a ball off a free kick to make the score 2-0.
 
Minutes later, the Cougars were awarded a penalty kick and increased the lead to 3-0 after Julie Crankshaw converted the penalty kick for her second goal of the day and 12th on the season.
 
Caldwell capped the scoring in the 80th minute with a goal by Lisa Rovastaos.
