Bloomfield, N.J. - The Holy Family University women's soccer team recorded its second straight victory against a conference opponent with a 3-0 win against Bloomfield College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest Saturday afternoon on the road.
With the win, Holy Family is now 6-6-0 overall and 4-4-0 in conference play, while Bloomfield drops to 2-8-0 overall and 0-6-0 in the CACC.
Holy Family opened the scoring early as the Tigers pounced on the scoreboard first when junior
Megan Tole (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) recorded her seventh goal of the season in the 11
th minute of action. Senior
Dawn Curry (Pennsville, N.J/Pennsville) assisted on the play as Holy Family led 1-0.
Later in the half, Holy Family doubled its lead when freshman
Kimber Kisselback (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) scored on a breakaway in the 35
th minute to make the score 2-0. The goal marked her fourth score of the season.
The score would remain 2-0 in favor of the Tigers heading into halftime and the second half. Holy Family outshot Bloomfield 9-3 in the half and went on to hold a 19-6 advantage for the game.
Holy Family would add one more goal in the 59
th minute after Curry scored her sixth goal of the season off a direct kick. The goal made the score 3-0 and that's how the game ended as Holy Family won its second straight contest.
Holy Family is back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 12 as the Tigers host C.W. Post in a non-conference contest. Game time is slated for 4 p.m.
