Philadelphia, Pa. - The Holy Family University women's soccer team dropped a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest by the score of 3-2 against Chestnut Hill College Wednesday afternoon at Tiger Field.
Holy Family is now 7-7-0 overall and 5-5-0 in conference play, while Chestnut Hill improves to 7-7-0 overall and 5-4-0 in the CACC.

Dawn Curry (Pennsville, N.J/Pennsville) scored her seventh goal of the season in the 60
th minute to make the score 2-1. Junior
Megan Tole (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) assisted on the play.
Minutes later, Holy Family tied the game at 2-2 when junior
Melissa Benson (Rockledge, Pa./Little Flower) connected on a shot from 20-yards out to record her second goal of the season in the 66
th minute.
However, Chestnut Hill took the lead with less than 15 minutes remaining in regulation when sophomore Carly DiGiovanni headed the ball into the back of the net off a cross-pass from senior Lauren Riiff. It marked DiGiovanni's eighth goal of the season and eventual game-winner for Chestnut Hill.
Riiff scored the game's first two goals in the first half, which led to Chestnut Hill's 2-0 advantage early on in the game. Riiff's first goal came in the 12
th minute of action, while her second came in the 41
st minute to increase her season total to 12.
Holy Family held the advantage in shots (19-13) and corner kicks (6-2) for the game.
Junior goalkeeper
Rachel Dunkle (Blandon, Pa./Fleetwood) made three saves in net in the first half, while senior
Gina Mansi (Washington Twp., N.J./Washington Twp. ) tallied two saves in the second half for the Tigers. Chestnut Hill junior goalkeeper Jessica Veazey made seven stops.
Holy Family is back in action on Saturday, Oct. 22 as the Tigers travel to face Post University in a CACC contest. Game time is slated for 1 p.m.
