Senior Ervin Ezell averaged a team-best 16.0 points per game in three games this past week in which the Tigers went 1-2 against non-conference opponents. Holy Family began the week hosting the University of New Haven on Wednesday night. The Tigers came away with a 56-43 victory to improve to 3-0. However, the Tigers came up short over the weekend on their road trip to New England. Holy Family suffered a 62-53 setback at Southern New Hampshire University on Saturday and then came up short at Bentley University, 82-75, on Sunday.

Along with his 16.0 points per game, Ezell also averaged 3.7 assists, 2.3 steals, 2.0 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game this past week. He shot 42.4-percent (14-33) from the field, including 37.5-percent (6-16) from beyond the arc. Ezell also converted 14-of-21 attempts from the free throw line. Ezell scored in double-figures in all three games, including a season-high 19 points at Southern New Hampshire. He capped the week with a 16-point performance at Bentley. Ezell also dished out five assists and recorded a season-high six steals on the defensive side.
