Sara Miraglia

Miraglia began her time at Holy Family as the head athletic trainer in Sept. 2019 and was promoted to assistant athletic director for sports medicine in July 2023. As Head Athletic Trainer, she is responsible for overseeing the sports medicine needs of all Holy Family University student athletes. In addition to overseeing the department of sports medicine, Sara also oversees the operations of the Fitness Center. 

Before her arrival at Holy Family University. Sara was an assistant athletic trainer at Immaculata University (Malvern, PA) for four years. In which time she was the athletic trainer for field hockey, women’s volleyball, men’s soccer, women’s basketball, men’s basketball, women’s lacrosse, and baseball. Previous to her time at Immaculata University, Sara was the head athletic trainer at Bishop Shanahan High School (Downingtown, PA), overseeing the athletic training needs for all athletic teams. 

A New Jersey native, Sara received her bachelor of science degree in athletic training from West Chester University and her masters degree in educational leadership from Immaculata University. Sara is passionate about the profession of athletic training and has served on professional committees for the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers’ Society (PATS) and the Eastern Athletic Trainers’ Association (EATA), in addition to being a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA).
