Lloyd Pearson

Lloyd Pearson enters his first season as head coach of the Holy Family University women's tennis team in 2017-18.  He was hired on Aug. 29, 2017 as the program's fourth head coach.

Pearson came to Holy Family after spending four seasons (2011-2015) at Division III Rutgers University-Camden coaching both the men and women's programs.  He led the Scarlet Raptors to the NEAC Men's Regular Season title in back-to-back years and helped guide the women's team to a 10-6 record in only their third year since the program was revived.  In 2013, the men won the NEAC Tournament and he was named the NEAC Coach of the Year.  In addition, Pearson garnered NJAC Coach of the Year honors on the women's side.

Pearson started coaching at Lindenwold High School during the 2002-03 season, spending four seasons molding a brand new women's program into a strong team in the Colonial Conference. After going 0-19 and 1-21 in its first two years, Lindenwold improved to 10-13 and 16-8 in Pearson's final two seasons in which he earned Coach of the Year honors in 2005.

Pearson spent the next three seasons at Pitman High School, where his girls' team won the Group 1 state title in 2006 with a 22-1 record. The last two seasons he has coached at Bishop Eustace Prep. His 2011 team posted a 17-1 record.

A four-year letterman at Neptune High School, where he played first singles, Pearson spent two years at first singles for Brookdale Community College before attending Rowan University. He spent two seasons at third singles for the Prof's, where he was the NJAC runner-up both seasons. He also won a conference championship at second doubles during his senior year and graduated from Rowan in 1995 with a degree in Law and Justice.
