Charles Hopkins

Hopkins was hired as Holy Family's first-ever head women’s flag football coach in Sept. 2024. 
 
He has spent the previous five years in the NFL Flag Philly organization, serving as an assistant defensive coordinator with the Kingsessing RoadRunners. 
 
During his time with NFL Flag Philly Hopkins has coached 27 teams, winning numerous playoff games and championships while facilitating camps, trainings, practices and team building activities. 
 
The position has allowed him to develop a defensive model that can be applied to participants of different learning and ability levels, while also teaching sportsmanship, leadership, adversity, accountability, teamwork and self-reliance. 
 
Hopkins previously served as a hospital corpsman in the United States Navy. He is currently a site coordinator with Playworks, where he creates improvement and recreation plans with schools enrolled in the organization’s team-up program.
