Thompson enters his third season as an assistant coach at Holy Family in 205.
HFU has qualified for the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament in each of his first season, with the Tigers’ 17 victories in 2023 ranking as tied for their most since 2017.
Thompson joined HFU from CACC member Chestnut Hill, where he spent three years as an assistant coach. With the Griffins he prepared team practice plans and scouting reports, helping CHC increase its win total by six.
Thompson has coaching experience at both the high school and travel levels as well.
He was the head coach at Central Bucks West from 2015-20, leading the team to its first PIAA District One playoff appearances since 2002.
As a coach with Towamencin Xplosion Fastpitch Softball for 11 years, he gained experience coaching teams aged 12U to 18U and notably led the 14U team to a seventh place finish out of 78 squads at the 2021 USSSA Eastern Nationals.
Thompson received both his BS and MPA from Shippensburg University.
