Biography

2011 Season: Appeared in 24 games, including 19 starts during her junior season.  Became the team’s all-time leader in home runs (19) after hitting seven homers in 2011.  Finished the year with 17 hits, nine runs and 20 RBI.  Committed only one error in the field for a fielding percentage of .966.  Had a season-high six RBI game during game one of a double-header at Chestnut Hill College on May 3.  Finished 3-for-3 at the plate, including two home runs to set the record for most home runs in program history.  Also scored a season-best three runs.  Was named to the CACC All-Academic Team for the second straight year.

2010 Season: Started 46 games in during her sophomore season.  Set new career highs in batting average (.291), hits (43), doubles (4), home runs (10), runs (11), RBI (33), slugging percentage (.520) walks (13) and total bases (77).  Had multi-hit games in ten contests last year, including a three-hit performance in the second game of a doubleheader against Caldwell (4/5).  Was named to the CACC All-Academic Team for the first time in her career.

2009 Season: Played in 49 games as a freshman, making 47 starts all at the catcher position...Led the Tigers in fielding percentage (.982) and putouts (249), second on the Tigers in walks (10), third in home runs (two)...Had two hits in a game seven times during the season...Recorded a career-high three RBIs against Chestnut Hill and had two RBIs at Post...Hit her first career home run in the second game on a double-header against Dominican...Connected for another home run in game two against Chestnut Hill...Had a season-high four-game hitting streak.

High School: Fitzgerald-Black played for the fourth ranked softball team in Canada during senior season. In 2007, she participated in the United State Softball Association Gold qualifying tournament and was the MVP. Fitzgerald-Black played for the Whitby Eagles, one of the elite ASA softball teams in Canada. She also played four years of varsity ice hockey.
