Homes joined the men’s soccer staff ahead of the 2021 season, following a two-year playing career for the Tigers.
HFU has advanced to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament in three of his five seasons as an assistant, highlighted by setting a program record with nine league victories, and tying another with a second place finish in the regular season standings, in 2022.
Holmes was a two-year starter and captain for Holy Family in 2018-19, helping lead the Tigers to the CACC Tournament in each of those two seasons, including the semifinals in 2019 when he was named All-CACC First Team and the Northeast Times HFU Male Athlete of the Year.
The 2019 team’s 11 wins were Holy Family’s most since 2011, which was also the last time the Tigers had advanced to the CACC Tournament Semifinals.
Holmes graduated from HFU in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Management-Marketing, earning All-CACC Academic Team and National College Athlete Honors Society accolades.
He began his collegiate career at Harcum, where he was also captain while working towards his associate’s degree.
