Chuck Ellis enters his fifth season with the men's basketball coaching staff in 2023-24. 
He joined Holy Family after spending the previous three seasons as an assistant coach at Division III Rutgers-Camden, where he served as a recruiting assistant, helped prepare scouting reports as aided in conducting practices for the Scarlet Raptors. 
 
Prior to joining Rutgers-Camden, Ellis spent four seasons as an assistant at Division III Immaculata University from 2012-2016. 
 
He began his coaching career as the head assistant coach at his alma mater, Cheyney University, from 2007-2012.  At Cheyney he managed all scouting and recruitment of potential student-athletes and prepared season-long scouting reports for opposing teams.  He also assisted with the team fundraising opportunities, helping raise over $10,000. 
 
In addition to coaching, Ellis is also a 1-on-1 skills trainer for several local NBA players, including three-time NBA Sixth Man of the Year Lou Williams, Dion Waiters, Wayne Ellington and the Morris twins. 
 
He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 2003, and he is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education at Cheyney.
