WASHINGTON, D.C. – Two goals 14 seconds apart in the 11th minute resulted in a 1-1 draw between the HFU Men's Soccer Team and District of Columbia on Wednesday night.
After falling behind, the Tigers quickly equalized as
Lucca Saad (São Paulo, Brazil/The Phelps School) set up
Corey Yorke (Orange, N.J./Orange) for the junior's second career goal.
Saad notably now leads Holy Family with two assists on the year.
Both teams had opportunities for a game-winner, including
Luiz Recchimuzzi (Bahia, Brazil/Life Center Academy) forcing a save with just 18 seconds remaining.
Chamar Blanchard (Bridgetown, Barbados/Cheltenham) shot on target twice, while
Bruno Mestres (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Mackenzie Tambore) made six stops, two of which came less than three minutes apart in the 77th and 80th.
