BENSALEM, Pa. - The HFU Softball Team has clinched a sixth successive appearance in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament after sweeping Chestnut Hill, 4-1 and 11-2, on Tuesday afternoon at Bensalem High School.
Game One
Kinsley Hall (Frankford, Del./Indian River) allowed just one hit, a two-out single in the sixth, in a third consecutive complete game win.
Holy Family led throughout following
Rylee Hobel's (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) leadoff home run, highlighting a performance in which she reached base three times with two walks.
Kylee Jones (Hulmeville, Pa./Neshaminy (Rider)) reached thrice too, finishing a perfect 3-for-3 with an RBI triple in a two-run fifth that provided the Tigers some cushion.
Olivia Croge (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West) would follow Jones' triple with a sacrifice fly, while
Madison Grubb (Swedesboro, N.J./Kingsway) also had a sacrifice fly in the sixth.
Jaden Kelly (West Deptford, N.J./West Deptford) notably recorded two base knocks.
Game Two
Holy Family scored multiple runs in each of its first three at-bats, capped by a six-run third.
Grubb and Kelly both went 2-for-2 with two runs, with Grubb homering, driving in four and walking and Kelly doubling and driving in two.
Lily Hoban (Millsboro, Del./Indian River) also had two hits and two runs.
Paige Tidaback (Carteret, N.J./St. Thomas Aquinas) threw a complete game, limiting the Griffins to two runs on five hits over five frames.
