HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. - The HFU Flag Football Team clinched a postseason appearance for the first time in program history, qualifying for the Atlantic East Tournament after defeating Centenary (32-13) and Marywood (40-20) in its regular season finales on Saturday.
Aalyce Davis (Philadelphia, Pa./Bethel Baptist Academy) threw for six touchdowns and rushed for another as she totaled 433 offensive yards.
Alannis Clavel-Lopez (Philadelphia, Pa./Abraham Lincoln) rushed for 160 yards and three scores, while
Alexis Tina McLeod (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) recorded 86 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
McLeod also intercepted two passes and was second on Holy Family with nine tackles.
Kaitlyn Cannon (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) led the Tigers with 10 flag pulls and caught a touchdown, while Clavel-Lopez and
Morgan Sims (Stratford, N.J./Sterling) both intercepted passes too.
Also scoring on the day were
Kierann Cusick (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem),
Saviyah Campbell (Philadelphia, Pa./Reach Cyber Charter School) and
Anajah Archer (Philadelphia, Pa./Hill Freedman World Academy).
