NORTH WALES, Pa. - The Holy Family University Baseball Team outscored Chestnut Hill 25-9, 16-5 and 9-4, in a sweep of the Griffins on Saturday afternoon.
Nick Lombardo (Willow Grove, Pa./Upper Dublin (Bucks County CC)) reached base three-plus times in both contests, finishing the doubleheader 5-for-8 with six RBI, four runs, a home run, two doubles, a walk and a hit-by-pitch.
Game one starter
Jorden Sesar (Morrisville, Pa./Morrisville (Manhattan University)) recorded a fifth consecutive quality start, allowing three earned on five hits, with seven strikeouts again two walks, over six innings.
Grant Carlton (Ooltewah, Tenn./Boyd Buchanan) then came in for two scoreless innings of relief.
Game two starter
Bryan Burtoft (Leesburg, Fla./First Academy Leesburg (Lake Sumter State College)) earned his second complete game win of the season after limiting CHC to six hits over seven frames.
Jephson Hadson-Taylor (Cheltenham, Pa./La Salle College (University of Maine)) drove in five and scored thrice in the opener as he recorded three extra base hits, a home run and two doubles, to go along with a base on balls.
Perry Chetney (Baldwinsville, N.Y./Baldwinsville (Millersville University)) joined Lombardo and Hadson-Taylor in driving in at least three as he homered and double as part of a 3-for-5 performance.
Jalen David (Bronx, N.Y./St. Raymond) also homered as he scored twice and drove in two more. He then joined Lombardo in recording multiple base knocks in the nightcap.
Andres Rivera (Silver Spring, Md./Woodrow Wilson (Montgomery College)) joined Lombardo in homering and driving in three in the nightcap.
