ASTON, Pa. - The HFU Baseball team batted around in a six-run first en route to winning game three, and therefore the weekend series, 12-1 in seven innings over Post on Sunday at Maplezone Sports Institute.
The Tigers drew three walks and one hit-by-pitch in the frame, which was capped by
Logan Mote's (Branchburg, N.J./Gill St. Bernard's School (Lackawanna College)) two-RBI double after RBIs by
Perry Chetney (Baldwinsville, N.Y./Baldwinsville (Millersville University)),
Griffin Richardson (Warminster, Pa./Greenville (Bucks County CC)) and
Christian Mote (Branchburg, N.J./Gill St. Bernard's School (Iona University)).
That was plenty of run support for
Ryan McLaughlin (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem (Manhattan University)), who improved to 2-2 with a quality start after allowing just on earned on six hits over six innings, with eight strikeouts against one base on balls.
Paul Miazza (Aston, Pa./Sun Valley) then came on for a scoreless seventh.
Richardson reached in all five plate appearances, finishing 1-for1 with three walks, a hit-by-pitch and three runs.
L. Mote,
Andres Rivera (Silver Spring, Md./Woodrow Wilson (Montgomery College)) and
Torin McKenzie (Hamilton, N.J./Nottingham (Mercer County CC)) all reached three times, with Rivera recording two extra-base hits and two truns.
Jephson
Hadson-Taylor scored twice as well, while C. Mote drove in two.
