Softball Sweeps Lincoln in Home Opener

BENSALEM, Pa. - The HFU Softball Team began its home schedule with a sweep of Lincoln, 14-2 and 3-0, on Wednesday afternoon at Bensalem High School.

Game One
The Tigers plated eight in the first, highlighted by Rylee Hobel (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) and Jaden Kelly (West Deptford, N.J./West Deptford) both reaching twice and Kylee Jones (Hulmeville, Pa./Neshaminy (Rider)) hitting a three-run homer.

Hobel and Olivia Croge (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West) both finished a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI, while Adrianna Lisotto (Middletown, N.J./Middletown North) was also 2-for-2 with a run and an RBI.

Molly Moore (Conshohocken, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh) earned the complete game win as she surrendered two runs over five innings, with six strikeouts and no base on balls.

Game One
Paige Tidaback (Carteret, N.J./St. Thomas Aquinas) recorded her second collegiate shutout as she limited the Lions to just two hits over seven frames.

A two-run third, which began with a Lindsey Gorka (Levittown, Pa./Neshaminy) leadoff walk and featured back-to-back singles by Hobel and Kelly, would be more than enough.

Hobel then made it 3-0 with an RBI single in the fifth, capping yet another two-hit performance as she finished the day 4-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, two stolen bases and a hit-by-pitch.

Gorka and Kelly both went 1-for-1 with a base on balls.
