Big things are happening with Holy Family University's athletics program. With the brand-new Metz Family Fieldhouse opening soon, the University is taking the next step by launching an Athletics Advisory Council — inviting alumni and community leaders to play a key role in shaping the future of Tiger athletics.
This isn't just about a new building. It's about building opportunity. The fieldhouse will be a hub for student-athletes, fans, and the entire HFU community. And the new Advisory Council will ensure that the programs inside those walls have the vision, support, and connections to thrive.
"Our student-athletes give their all on and off the field, and this Council will help us make sure they have the resources and opportunities they deserve," said Athletic Director Tim Hamill '04. "As an alumnus myself, I know firsthand the difference this kind of support can make."
Why It Matters
Athletics at Holy Family is about more than wins and losses. It's about leadership, teamwork, and pride — qualities that carry our student-athletes far beyond graduation. The Advisory Council will help ensure our programs remain responsive to the evolving needs of today's students, while also strengthening the connection between alumni and the next generation of Tigers.
How You Can Be Part of It
The Athletics Advisory Council is open to active alumni, University supporters, and community leaders who want to make an impact. Members will:
- Share their expertise and advice on strategy, events, and alumni engagement.
- Help recruit and inspire alumni volunteers.
- Support HFU Athletics philanthropically at a level that's meaningful to them.
- Take part in cornerstone events like the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
It's an exciting moment to reconnect with HFU Athletics and help shape what comes next for our student-athletes.
