Men’s Lacrosse’s Impressive Second Season Ends on Friday

LAKEWOOD, N.J. – The Holy Family University men's lacrosse program's second season ended with a 13-22 loss at Georgian on Friday. 
 
The Tigers end 2025 at 9-7, more than quadrupling their win total from their inaugural season. 
 
Individual Highlights
  • Bradley Smith (Egg Harbor Township, N.J./Egg Harbor Township) had triple the amount of caused turnovers as any other player with a season-best six, tied for the 11th most in Division II this season
    • He also tied a game-high with a season-best seven ground balls, netted his first collegiate hat trick, and led HFU with five faceoff wins
  • Noah Simpson (Oshawa, Ontario/Henry Street) topped the Tigers with four goals and was second with four ground balls
  • James Bienia (East Moriches, N.Y./Westhampton Beach) had three points on two goals and assist, while Xander Kelly (Shohola, Pa./Delaware Valley) and Jake Feeney (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern) each added two points 
  • James Demakopoulos (Carle Place, N.Y./Carle Place) had 13 saves and four ground balls
 
Inside the Box Score
  • GCU held just a slight 50-53 edge in shots, but the Lions held major advantages in both faceoffs (6-31) and ground balls (31-53)
