PHILADELPHIA – After defending Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) regular season champion Wilmington opened the game with the first three, and five of the first six, goals, the HFU men's lacrosse team fought back to cut the deficit to one on three occasions.
The Tigers could never tie the score though, and the Wildcats would close with 13 of the final 16 goals for a 12-25 final.
Individual Highlights
- Jayden Williams (Mays Landing, N.J./Atlantic County Institute of Technology) led Holy Family with 14 faceoff wins and nine ground balls, the latter of which was a season-high
- Logan O'Keefe (Levittown, Pa./Conwell-Egan Catholic) topped the Tigers with four caused turnovers and was second with eight ground balls, both of which were season-bests
- Noah Simpson (Oshawa, Ontario/Henry Street) and James Bienia (East Moriches, N.Y./Westhampton Beach) both netted hat tricks, while Jake Feeney (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern) had three points on two assists and a goal
- Jackson Brown (Cape May, N.J./Lower Cape May) was second on HFU with a season-high three caused turnovers, while James Demakopoulos (Carle Place, N.Y./Carle Place) made 19 saves
