Women’s Lacrosse Closes Out Non-Conference Schedule with 20-2 Win Over St. Thomas Aquinas

PHILADELPHIA – The Holy Family University women's lacrosse team closed out its non-conference schedule with a 20-2 victory over St. Thomas Aquinas on Thursday evening at Tiger Field. 
 
Individual Highlights
  • Rianna Shields (Richboro, Pa./Council Rock South) tallied game-highs of five goals and two assists
    • The senior is now fifth in program history with 45 career assists
  • Symia Brazleton (Burlington, N.J./Burlington City) led all players with a career-best seven ground balls
  • Gwen Varley (East Earl, Pa./Garden Spot) tied a season-best with four goals, while Abby Perkins (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) and Taina Harkins (Hopewell, N.J./Hopewell Valley Central) both netted hat tricks, with all three adding an assist
    • The hat trick was notably the first of Perkins' career
  • Harkins, Payton Pugh (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert Catholic) and Lexi Ryan (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) all tied a game-high with two caused turnovers
    • Ryan topped HFU with four draw controls, while Pugh was second with three, with both adding two goals
  • Julie Gallardo (North Brunswick, N.J./North Brunswick Township) contributed two points, while Kaelah Carter (Watervliet, N.Y./Shaker (The College of Saint Rose)) notably registered her first assist as a Tiger
  • Nicole Wiser (Langhorne, Pa./Villa Joseph Marie) made three saves for her fourth win in five appearances in net
