Holy Family Student-Athletes Receive Five CACC Weekly Awards

HFU student-athletes have received five weekly awards from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) for the week of April 7-13, the league offices announced on Monday.

James Demakopoulos (Carle Place, N.Y./Carle Place) – CACC Men's Lacrosse Goalkeeper of the Week
Demakopoulos is now a four-time CACC Goalkeeper of the Week this season after falling one save shy of a season-best, as he stopped 20 of the 32 shots he faced in Saturday's victory over Felician.

Jake Feeney (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern) – CACC Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week
Feeney is a two-time CACC Rookie of the Week after leading all players with eight points and five assists as he also recorded a hat trick in that win. When Golden Falcons got as close as 7-8 4:17 into the third quarter, he played a part in four of the six unanswered that helped HFU pull away for an 18-12 victory.

Molly Moore (Conshohocken, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh) – CACC Softball Pitcher of the Week
Moore receives her first career CACC Pitcher of the Week award after going  2-0 with a 0.00 ERA over 10.2 innings in two appearances. After not giving up an earned run over eight frames in game one of Wednesday's sweep of Wilmington, she picked up the win with 2.2 hitless innings of relief in game one of Sunday's sweep at Post.

Nicole Wiser (Langhorne, Pa./Villa Joseph Marie) – CACC Women's Lacrosse Goalkeeper of the Week
Wiser earns her second CACC Goalkeeper of the Week honor this season after going 2-0 with a 9.44 goals against average and three caused turnovers. After posting four saves and three caused turnovers in Wednesday's win over Chestnut Hill, the sophomore made eight stops in Saturday's overtime triumph at Bridgeport.

Tori Wolstenholme (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert Catholic) – CACC Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week
Wolstenholme has now won a CACC Defensive Player of the Week award in each of the last three seasons after finishing with 11 points on six goals and five assists, to go along with 17 draw controls, nine ground balls and five caused turnovers, in the 2-0 week.
